The Golmaal Returns lads, Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade had to cross-dress on director Rohit Shetty’s call!!!

There was a scene in the film that required the boy gang to dress up like women. It happens to be Women’s Day (in the film) so they must dress up as females to be allowed entry into the mall.

Rohit Shetty shares, “I was quite taken aback when Ajay (Devgan) agreed to this scene in particular. He was very gung-ho to go ahead with the scene!! In fact none of the guys had any reservations, which made it one of the best scenes in the film.”

It is common knowledge that Tusshar Kapoor and Celina Jaitly grew extremely friendly on the sets of Golmaal Returns in Goa and Bangkok.

The two celebs have become absolutely inseparable now as they’ve been spotted attending Bollywood’s glitzy movie premieres and fashion shows together.

On Friday, Tusshar and Celina are planning to visit Mumbai’s holy Siddhi Vinayak Temple in the afternoon on behalf of the entire unit to pray for the success of Golmaal Returns, which is being tipped as an out-and-out Diwali entertainer by those who’ve seen the rushes.

We wonder what else the two will be praying for!

Another ‘good friendship’ is said to have developed between two co-stars on the sets of the forthcoming comedy, Golmaal Returns.

Tusshar Kapoor and Celina Jaitly who met on the sets of the film in Goa and Bangkok appear to have hit it off so well that industry insiders are speculating whether there’s more than what meets the eye!

Shortly after the two met, Tusshar approached Celina to do a sensuous item song for his home-production, C Kkompany. The two even came together to the premiere of Welcome To Sajjanpur and were spotted at the fashion show of Manish Malhotra, who is a common friend of the two.

If that isn’t enough, the two have only recently been cast opposite each other in Neeraj Vora’s Run Bhola Run, also starring Govinda and Ameesha Patel.

When quizzed, Tusshar diplomatically remarked, “Celina’s a lovely girl and we got along really well on the sets of Golmaal Returns. Why just Celina? I got along very well with everyone on the sets. The unit of Golmaal Returns was a happy and fun family, which is very evident when you watch the film!”

On her part, said Celina, “Tusshar and I aren’t opposite each other inGolmaal Returns but we had a great time on the sets. He’s a great co-star and friend but there’s nothing more to our relationship if that’s what people are trying to imply.”

Golmaal Returns is the year’s most keenly anticipated comedy with Ajay Devgan, Tusshar Kapoor and Arshad Warsi reprising their roles and Shreyas Talpade reprising the role originally played by Sharman Joshi. Kareena Kapoor, Amrita Arora, Celina Jaitly and Anjana Sukhani (Salaam-e-Ishq) are new additions to the cast.

It releases worldwide on Wednesday, October 29 by Indian Films - Studio 18.

After bagging commercial success and multiple award nominations for his role of a mute character in the first edition of Golmaal, Tusshar Kapoor is eagerly looking forward to repeating the magic in the forthcoming Golmaal Returns.

So much so that some days back he is said to have quietly visited the holy shrine of Lord Tirupati in South India (which Tusshar and sister Ekta strongly believe in) to pray for the success of this keenly anticipated comedy.

When contacted, Tusshar said, “I don’t want to comment on my visit to the temple as it’s too personal to talk about. As for the film, unarguably, we are all awaiting its release with bated breath because it’s shaped up really well. If the first Golmaal made you laugh, Golmaal Returns will have you in splits. I’m hoping to bag some more nominations for this one!”

Golmaal Returns is the year’s biggest multi-starrer comedy, out on Wednesday October 29. It is an Indian Films - Studio 18 release.

It is common knowledge that Tusshar Kapoor plays a hilariously dumb character in the keenly anticipated comedy, Golmaal Returns, as he did in the first part of the franchise.

Consequently, at the time of dubbing for the film, he had no words to dub except emitting noises and reactions, making the experience tiring and strenuous.

Remarks Tusshar, “Ajay (Devgan) saw ‘Golmaal Returns’ before he left for London and Paris and loved me but asked me to be very careful about the dubbing. He is brilliant at dubbing so I took his advice seriously. I play a mute guy in the film, which as you can imagine, makes the dubbing tougher than when you have actual dialogues. I lost my voice at times and had to condition my throat with hot water, milk and turmeric powder.”

He laughs, “People talk about method acting, but after ‘Golmaal Returns’, I talk about method dubbing!”

‘Golmaal Returns’ is the grand Diwali attraction in cinemas on Wednesday 29th October. It is an Indian Films - Studio 18 worldwide release.
