Here is what the critics thought of Sorry Bhai :
ApunKaChoice.Com – Review by Nikhil Kumar
Onir’s films have always tackled the inner conflicts of the story’s characters, and ‘Sorry Bhai’ is no different. The film, with its above average music and eye-pleasing cinematography, has a somewhat abrupt ending preceded by a couple of sequences where you feel the director either lost his grip over the plot or became too self-indulgent.
But at the end of the day, ‘Sorry Bhai’ gives you a faint smile and doesn’t make you feel sorry for the money and time spent on the flick.

BollywoodHungama.com – Review by Taran Adarsh
On the whole, SORRY BHAI! is too bold and startling for the Indian audiences. At the box-office, it caters to a tiny/miniscule audience — a handful of plexes in a handful of cities. And those numbers would be disheartening as well!

BusinessOfCinema.com – Review by Sanjay Ram
Sorry Bhai is certainly a film worth watching.

Buzz18.com – Review by Jaya Biswas
VERDICT: Overall, Onir disappoints audience in his endeavour to be ‘different’ with a clichéd storyline and ordinary approach.
RATING: 1.5/5 for Shabana and Boman.
HindustanTimes.com – Review by Khalid Mohamed
My Brother Nikhil has been the most accomplished of his three efforts yet. Truly, you wish he’d get back on the track of cinema which has something substantial to say. For this one, you can only say, “Sorry Onir!”

The cinematography of the movie is very good. Mauritius has been very well canned with its picturesque beauty, the water, the beaches etc. The music of the movie is pleasant. The production values of the film are high as well. But somehow, the film does not come across as a very coherent story. And one feels, that it is that, more than its subject matter, which lets down Onir’s Sorry Bhai.

NowRunning.com – Review by Subhash K Jha
Happily, “Sorry Bhai” has plenty of genuine moments of emotional ‘ouch’-burst. This isn’t a film about confrontational relationships. The characters prefer to keep it nice and peaceful on the surface, no matter what the turmoil inside, just like the blue oceans and white sands of Mauritius.

And yet Sorry Bhai’s final turn is progressive enough for me to recommend it immediately to my folks. It’s a film pleasant enough for us all to smile at, and surreptitiously even wipe an eye for. And sometimes that’s exactly what we need.
