HDIL India celebrated its launch with a grand bash at Grand Hyatt in Mumbai. Several B-Town celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan and Anil Kapoor attended the do.

After confirmation that SRK and Kajol are reuniting for K-Jo’s next film, reports are flying around that now the two Khan’s SRK and Salman may be coming together after a long time for a desi remake of the Hollywood Tom Cruise starrer Jerry Maguire (1996). The remake will be put together by Salman’s brother Sohail who has pitched the project to the major film studio UTV a few days back with a bound script in hand.

If things pan out as expected, SRK will be playing a sportscaster similar to Tom Cruise’s Jerry Maguire and Salman will be taking on the role Cuba Gooding Jr. (Rod Tidwell)

The two Khans were last seen acting together in Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam (2002) alongside Madhuri Dixit, other than SRK’s special appearance in Salman’s Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega.

Interestingly enough, SRK made it big in Bollywood by taking on his first lover boy role in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) opposite Kajol, which was first offered and turned down by Tom Cruise.

Although not officially confirmed by either debutant director Prem Soni or producer Sohail Khan, the buzz is that Sohail’s brother, actor Salman has called some of his long-time friends (and even those with whom he has buried the hatchet) to appear with him in Sohail’s next film – Main Aur Mrs Khanna. Who are the chosen ones? The envelope please … None other than Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone.

Salman and Shahrukh have been in several films before, though it has been some time. They played brothers in Karan Arjun (1995), rivals over Kajol in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) and with Madhuri in Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam (2002).

Preity is also a close family friend and is a regular at the Khan household. She and Salman have worked opposite one another in Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega (2000), actually Shahrukh made a guest appearance here too, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke (2001) Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha (2004), Jaane-E-Mann (2006) and guest appearances in Shahrukh’s home production Om Shanti Om last year. They will also be acting opposite each other once again, along with Sohail in Samir Karnik’s Heroes.

Being impressed with Deepika’s onscreen presence, Salman suggested her name to Sohail and Prem when they began the casting process.

Main Aur Mrs Khanna will go on the floors in March of this year. Kareena Kapoor plays Mrs. Khanna in the film and UTV Motion Pictures are the co-producers for the film.
