Director Sriram Raghavan (Ek Hasina Thi, Johnny Gaddar) has certainly found himself in a quandary. The problem? Although he has roped in top music composers Shankar Ehsaan Loy for his next film starring John Abraham and Aishwarya Rai, they are unable to come up with a title song for the film. Why? Raghavan is unable to come up with a title for his love story. Therefore … No Film Title … No Film Title Song. It’s as simple as that!
Known for his suspenseful, anti-romantic films, the director is now venturing into the world of romance. For his debut in this genre Raghavan says, “The characters will lip-sync the song and I’m scared! It’s the easiest thing in the world to have songs in the background, as I did in my first two films. But to have the characters actually sing on screen is a frightening prospect for me.”
If he waits too much longer SEL might not have time to write the entire score for the film, but only the title song and a few other tracks. This means he’ll have to find another composer who can fill in and finish the job.
In the meanwhile Raghavan, his brother and writer of the film, Sridhar and producer Rohan Sippy are working to come up with a workable title so SEL can create the song for it. Seems that at least they’ve zeroed in on a few options, according to Raghavan.

Kareena Kapoor was all set to begin working on her lover Saif Ali Khan’s debut film (as a producer) Agent Vinod. Now it seems, the Sriram Raghavan (Ek Hasina Thi and Johnny Gaddaar) directed film has been put to the backburner, at least until late next year, in order to allow Khan’s second home production with Deepika Padukone get underway. Sources also confirm that the delay is also due in part to the fact that Raghavan is currently working on a film with Rohan Sippy. That film stars John Abraham and Aishwarya Rae Bachchan in the lead roles.
The second film of the two ventures will have Imtiaz Ali donning the director’s cape for Khan and his production house Illuminati Films Pvt. Ltd. (with co-producer Dinesh Vijan (Being Cyrus)). After being thoroughly impressed with Ali’s work in the Kareena Kapoor/Shahid Kapur starrer Jab We Met, Khan met with him to discuss working together.
Although the Khan/Ali film is still being scripted, we are told that it is a love story with a number of realistic elements. Padukone will be starring as the leading lady, once she signs on the dotted line. Sorry Bebo, looks like Deepika takes the first spot with Saif this time.
