The silver screen will be sizzling once again with the amazing jodi of Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia in Zoya Akhtar’s debut film Luck By Chance. The senior pair made young hearts everywhere go dhak-dhak after starring opposite one another in Raj Kapoor’s film Bobby (1973). In 1985 they were paired once again in Ramesh Sippy’s Saagar. Then, 2006 saw them together in Hriday Shetty’s Pyaar Mein Twist.
Luck By Chance will hopefully have them creating their onscreen magic once again in this tongue-in-cheek look at the Hindi film industry. The pair will have important but not lead roles in the film however.
Farhan Akhtar, Zoya’s brother will be playing the male lead opposite Konkona Sen Sharma. Hrithik Roshan will make a guest appearance. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, shooting is set to begin in March.

After Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor ended their four-year relationship, another long-time couple has followed suit. It is learned that last month, Amisha Patel and Vikram Bhatt parted ways after a five-year stint, with Patel moving out of Bhatt’s flat.
The rumor mills are working overtime as usual, trying to sort out the reason for the rift between the two. Kanav Puri’s name has been thrown into the ring, as the London-based businessman and Patel have been spotted together on several occasions. Yet both Patel and Bhatt describe the rumor as rubbish and say they are just giving one another their needed space in the relationship.
Well, whatever the reason, we’re sure Yash Raj Films is happy to know that Patel will now have more time now to devote to the first film she has just signed with them. It will be directed by Kunal Kohli. The film also stars Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukherji and Rishi Kapoor.

Dilli 6 leads Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor have been experiencing a difficult time recently. Both had to rush from shooting in Jaipur to Mumbai to be with their families after the passing of their grandparents, Abhishek’s paternal grandmother and Sonam’s maternal grandfather. Both being professional actors, they have since flown back to Jaipur to resume shooting.
Director Rakeysh Mehra’s venture includes a huge assembled cast. Besides Bachchan and Kapoor, the likes of Rishi Kapoor, Tanvi Azmi, Divya Dutt and the beautiful Waheeda Rehman, who was coaxed out of retirement by Mehra, will breath life into Dilli 6.

The rumour mills sure are busy churning out the gossip, but how much of it can we actually believe? By the time a story has made the rounds, the correction to it has already begun to make its way fast on its heels.
So it goes with the rumor that cousins Ranbir and Kareena Kapoor would be coming together for the R. K. banner home production, not long after the family reunion. Well … as they say in showbiz, “another one bites the dust.”
Sources say that there are no such plans for a home production starring the Kapoor children. “It was Rishi and not Randhir who wanted to make a film. Nothing has been decided and they are still not sure as when they should start their film, which may star one but not both of the Kapoor cousins.”

The saying goes, “like father, like son” and that’s just what Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted Ranbir Kapoor to be able to say, after a scene in Saawariya. The much talked about scene, where Ranbir was to drop his towel and bare his bottom to cinegoers, as his father Rishi did 34 years ago in the film Bobby, has been axed by the censor board.
If left in, the film would have earned an “A” rating from the board. Is it possible that the censor board didn’t see the scene as a nostalgic tribute? Furthermore, will Bhansali fight to keep the film intact and accept the rating?
