Ranbir Kapoor will soon be seen in a real life drama based on an Indo-Pak relationship, which is tentatively titled Dosti. It is about how Moin Khan (who sold his story to the producers) an Indian boy puts his life at stake to help his friend who is a Pakistani boy.
Rahul Dholakia (Parzania fame) will be donning the director’s cape for the film under the BR Chopra banner. Producer Ravi Chopra tells us, “Ranbir suites the character of the Indian boy, but we are just in talks with Ranbir. He has not signed on the dotted line. We haven’t thought of the Pakistani boy as yet because we don’t know what kind of talent is available there.”
Dosti will commence in July. At this point, Kapoor is currently shooting for Yash Raj’s Bachna Ae Haseeno.

Looks like Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone can’t hide their love for each anymore. And why should they after all. The adorable friends turned lovers let the world know under no uncertain terms at the 53rd Annual Filmfare Awards ceremony.
It was obvious how very much in love they are when backstage Ranbir was overheard telling Deepika, “I love you.” Deepika then shyly whispered back “I love you too.”
Farah Ali Khan’s party after the ceremony saw the two lovebird holding hands and kissing throughout the night as they stuck very closely to each other.
So much for Ranbir’s comment on the question of their relationship earlier this month, where he claimed that his relationship with Deepika was nothing more than platonic.

The rumour mills sure are busy churning out the gossip, but how much of it can we actually believe? By the time a story has made the rounds, the correction to it has already begun to make its way fast on its heels.
So it goes with the rumor that cousins Ranbir and Kareena Kapoor would be coming together for the R. K. banner home production, not long after the family reunion. Well … as they say in showbiz, “another one bites the dust.”
Sources say that there are no such plans for a home production starring the Kapoor children. “It was Rishi and not Randhir who wanted to make a film. Nothing has been decided and they are still not sure as when they should start their film, which may star one but not both of the Kapoor cousins.”

Isn’t that what Karan Johar showed us in K3G? Well … It seems that some in the industry have started taking that adage to heart and putting it into practice.
The icy atmosphere that has kept the Kapoor family apart for quite some time now, is beginning to thaw out. It seems that it was all originally caused over two weddings; the lack of invitation of Neetu Singh (the Indian Ginger Rogers), and her children Ranbir and Riddhima to Bebo’s sister Karisma’s wedding and the subsequent no show by Kareena, her mom Babita and Karisma and husband Sanjay to Ranbir’s sister Riddhima’s wedding.
At the request of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Kareena Kapoor, with her lover Saif Ali Khan at her side, attended the premiere of Saawariya to see her cousin Ranbir in his debut film and lend her support.
Heads certainly spun around and jaws dropped as Bebo walked in and hugged her aunt. Singh wasn’t as surprised and even replied, when asked, “Yes, things have settled down between us now. We are okay.”
Things are also looking brighter for Babita and Randhir, as they have resolved their differences and she is returning home.
All’s well that end’s well, as they say.

The saying goes, “like father, like son” and that’s just what Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted Ranbir Kapoor to be able to say, after a scene in Saawariya. The much talked about scene, where Ranbir was to drop his towel and bare his bottom to cinegoers, as his father Rishi did 34 years ago in the film Bobby, has been axed by the censor board.
If left in, the film would have earned an “A” rating from the board. Is it possible that the censor board didn’t see the scene as a nostalgic tribute? Furthermore, will Bhansali fight to keep the film intact and accept the rating?
