Two filmmakers, whose projects have been turned down by Shah Rukh Khan, are now approaching Aamir Khan to do their films. Remember what happened not so long ago with Lagaan? SRK refused this film too and it was given to Aamir, resulting in a super-hit!
After negotiations with SRK failed, director Rajkumar Hirani reportedly offered the role in his next film to Aamir. The second opportunity that SRK rejected because of “creative differences” is South Indian director Shankar’s (Sivaji) sci-fi thriller Robot.
Right now however, Aamir is so busy with the release of his home production Taare Zameen Par, he hasn’t been able to concentrate fully and sign on the dotted line with either of the offers, although he has met with both directors for discussions on them.
Are there two more “Lagaans” in Aamir’s future. Stay tuned to find out.

Shahrukh Khan’s hockey film Chak de India was certainly a hit, but now SRK has moved on to cricket. No, he won’t be playing cricket for his next film (he had that chance in Lagaan) rather, he’s looking to BUY an Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise.
Khan is among 90 others who have put in their bids for the floor price which has been fixed at $50 million. The franchise will have eight teams with a squad of sixteen players each, featuring under-21 players and those from the BCCI’s annual contract.
The franchisees will also be able to bid for the players of the teams. There will be eight franchises for the first year and the IPL hopes to double that number to 16 by 2010.
