Salman and Katrina graced the sets of Zee Tv’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa to promote their forthcoming movie Yuvvraaj.

Earlier on vivacious Katrina Kaif visited the sets of Baa Bahu Aur Baby, who confessed having a blast with the BBB gang! Well, this time around its singer Himesh Reshammiya who visited the Jasuben Jayantilal Joshi’s family, and brought in a lot of energy on the sets. He congratulated the three couples, Aarti & Ravi, Nandan & Pinakin and Chirag and Roshni, on their engagement. Not the one to miss out on fun, the Jasubein team requested Himesh to sing popular soundtrack from his set- to-release film Karzzzz, and he quite willingly obliged them.

Producer J. D. Majethia says, “Himesh and I go back a long way, and it was a pleasure having him on our sets. He sang Tandoori Nights and Lut Jaaon Lut- Jaaon from his movie Karzzzz, and everyone listened with rapt attention! The team of Hats off Productions wishes him good luck and hope that his film brings heaps of success and fame.”

It was one debt that Himesh Reshammiya would gladly forever repay. The actor-music director-singer paid an ode to millions of his rickshaw driver and cabbie fans in the concert that was curtain raiser to Bhushan Kumar’s Karzzzz at the Andheri sports Complex on Oct 12.

A star-studded performance, the act hosted by Mona Singh and Cyrus Broacha opened with Vineet from Saregama and Akriti Kakkar. Riya Sen in sensuous black set the stage afire with a medley of Tere Liye, Lagi Choote Na Junoon and Sisak. This was followed by a comic act. Amrita Arora in black and silver with Mirchi, Tandoori nights and Jumme Raat medley sizzled next.

Tulsi Kumar in a stunning electric blue outfit performed a medley of Mohabbat Ki from Aksar, Tum Sason Me, Afsana Banake f Hai Tadap, Tere Naal and Tere Bin Chain Na Aaye to a thunderous applause.

Black seemed to be the norm with a Neha Dhupia in a jet black figure-hugging dress with Tera Mera Mera… Suroor, Aameen, Shakalaka Boom Boom and Zara Jhoom Jhoom. Amisha Patel rocked in a black and silver combo to Soniye Soniye, Janabe Janiya and Jhalak Dikhlaja.

The Karzzzz curtain-raiser followed and then came time for a colourfully decorated auto rickshaw entrée with Himesh Reshammiya taking centrestage. This time out, he had a lot of kids joining him and singing along in his act.

Bhushan Kumar then felicitated Himesh with a platinum disc honour. A visibly emotional Himesh acknowledged that Bhushan was one man who first believed in him and gave him the break he strived for. At a time when most people forget to look back as they grow in life, this was one touching act from Himesh that Bhushan acknowledged and respected as well.

Bhushan was joined by his pretty director wife Divya Khosla Kumar, Shweta Kumar, the heroine of Karzzzz, Tulsi Kumar, Vinod Bhanushali and director Ajay Kapoor and the rest of the team who made the concert happen.

Karzzzz curtain raiser was hosted by T-Series and Star Plus and produced and managed by Carving Dreams Live, a division of Carving Dreams Entertainment.

KARZZZZ is a film that explores the psychological traits every human being possesses, some of them so powerful that it leads them to commit vices of greed, obsession, hatred, deceit, betrayal, MURDER… Set amidst the majestic and breathtaking locales of South Africa, KARZZZZ is a remake of the 1980 Subhash Ghai hit “Karz”. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar & Krishan Kumar of T-Series, directed by Satish Kaushik and stars Himesh Reshammiya, Urmila Matondkar, debutante Shweta Kumar, Gulshan Grover, Raj Babbar & Danny Denzongpa. Karzzzz is slated to release on October 17. The concert will be telecast on Star Plus on Nov 9.

What: Himesh Reshammiya unveils Aneek Dhar’s album

The music of Welcome may have three composers, but according to the reviews it may be three composers too many. We know the adage, “too many chefs in the kitchen spoil the soup.” Unfortunately, it seems that this is just what has happened to the soundtrack of Welcome.

For the three composers, Anand Raaj Anand, Himesh Reshammiya and Sajid-Wajid, to receive only two stars in review, isn’t good no matter how you slice it. Hopefully, since the film itself looks interesting, the cine-goers will look beyond the music (although a big part of Indian cinema) and watch it anyway.

Famous singer and Indian Idol winner Abhijeet Sawant will be following another well renowned singer Himesh Reshammiya in moving on from singer to actor. His new avatar will be showcased in a romantic drama titled Lottery, produced by the new production company 3S Creation. It will be directed by debutant director, Hemant Prabhu.

“I always wanted to be singer and never thought I’d see myself in films. But I have been getting offers since the last two years. It is just that now I am thinking to take it up seriously.”

Lottery is the story of a young boy’s journey to Bombay with a dream to make it big. Shooting will begin in December and there will be two new actresses opposite Abhijeet.
According to Prabhu, Sawant’s character will not be singing but will be dancing and playing a guitar in the film.
