The 3,000 or so fans that assembled for the Hindi Paas Party at the Silverdome Arena in Holland were in for a treat on April 12, 2009. When Navin from the UK took to the stage, the crowd waited in anticipation and they weren‘t disappointed by any means.

Mukesh Asopa and company are jumping for joy as their film Aisha and Rahul is one of the winners of the prestigious Golden Palm Award of the Mexico International Film Festival 2009. The award ceremony held in Mexico (of course) begins on 29 May and concludes on 31 May.

The award-winning streak for The Indian Film Company-Mira Nair presentation, Little Zizou, continues. Writer turned director Sooni Taraporevala’s English feature won the audience award for Best Feature at the recently concluded Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA). The film was screened at the Arclight Theatre on Sunset Boulevard where it found an overwhelming response.

The team behind Bend it Like Beckham is delighted to announce the cast for Gurinder Chadha’s next feature, It’s A Wonderful Afterlife. The comedy about an Indian mother, who takes her obsession with marriage into a frighteningly funny territory, started filming in London on 28 March 2009. It is preparing for an early 2010 release.
