The story of ‘Firaaq’ is set over a 24-hour period, one month after a carriage that took place in Gujarat, India, in 2002.

Directed by Nandita Das, Firaaq features Paresh Rawal, Deepti Naval, Nowaz, Mohd. Samad, Naseeruddin Shah, Sanjay Suri, Tisca Chopra, Shahana Goswami, Raghubir Yadav in the pivotal roles.
