Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan launched London’s new ZEE Radio on February 16th. It took place at the ZEE Carnival 2008, an Asian lifestyle exhibition held at the Grand Hall in Kensington, Olympia, Central London. The 3-day celebration as also attended by other leading Bollywood stars as well.

Navin Kundra is back with the electrifying new single, Zinda Hoon, following the success of his number 1 debut hit single, Tukde Tukde. Written, composed, produced and sung by Navin, the Club Mix of Zinda Hoon is already making waves across the British-Asian music scene, having been play-listed on almost every major asian radio station across the UK and being featured as the BBC Asian Networks Big One and Clubasia’s winner of Tastemakers. Zinda Hoon also sees Navin facing the camera for the very first time in the stylish accompanying music video. The trailers are creating a rage online and the release is highly anticipated.

Zinda Hoon is very different from Tukde Tukde says Navin, “but I think that people who liked Tukde Tukde will definitely like this new track. It’s a club mix so people can really move to it and get lost in the banging beats and trance sounds of the song. The depth of the Hindi lyrics also give the track a whole new dimension, and again is different to Tukde Tukde which was written in Punjabi.”

So how does it feel to be a 22 year old with a debut number 1 single under his belt? “I want to achieve so much more! Yes…having my first song go to number 1 and stay there for 3 weeks amongst some of the biggest Bollywood soundtracks was an amazing feeling, but that was just my first song! I have to keep moving forward and now people’s expectations are very high which makes it hard, but also makes for an attractive challenge which I’m ready to take on and give my all.”

Talking about the lyrics of Zinda Hoon, Navin says “I’m sure the sentiment is something that we’ve all felt at some point. Often we just go through the motions of living life and in the process, we tend to lose focus of the things that matter and the direction we want to take our lives in. That really comes through in the original version of the song which will feature on my upcoming EP, but this is the Club Mix baby! This is for you to freak out to and enjoy the experience!

Zinda Hoon is the second single taken from Navin’s forthcoming debut album and will be released as an EP imminently with an exclusive track featuring a collaboration between Navin, Rishi Rich and Jay Sean. SHAH RUKH KHAN LAUNCHES BOLLYWOOD CENTRIC RADIO STATION FROM ZEE NETWORK UK.

Shah Rukh Khan, the King of Bollywood, officially launched ZEE Radio, UK’s first Bollywood radio station from ZEE Network.

ZEE Radio was launched at the sold-out ZEE Carnival 2008 on Saturday 16th February to a rapturous response.

Shah Rukh Khan, who was the face of the sold-out, three-day extravaganza at the Olympia, London, congratulated ZEE on its new initiative. “I would take this opportunity to congratulate Zee for the launch of their new radio, Zee Radio 558 AM (and DAB).  All the best Zee!! I hope you all listen to it.”

He was also joined on stage by UK Top 10 sensation Jay Sean who added to the celebrations encouraging listeners to tune into Zee Radio.

A specially choreographed dance sequence representing the flavour of the station was presented on stage as a part of the launch.

ZEE Radio’s unique content and style will bring a cutting edge sound to UK radio. Today, ZEE Network is Europe’s largest Asian network with ZEE TV, ZEE Cinema, ZEE Muzic, ZEE Gujarati and Alpha ETC Punjabi.

Currently ZEE Radio is available in Greater London on 558 AM between 7am and 1pm daily and on DAB 24 hours a day. Online streaming will be available shortly.
