Well at least she is in the upcoming film Superstar. Tulip Joshi, one of the two leading ladies in the film plays a conventional heroine who sees a transition in herself as the years pass by, and says she’s happy about it.
Starting out as Khemu’s childhood sweetheart in the story, she is a chatterbox. The transformation into a woman who is more sober and subtle in her approach as the storyline continues is very interesting.
Joshi made her debut in Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai back in 2002 opposite Uday Chopra. They played childhood chums in this film also, but the plot of the storyline revolved more around her character, as did her roles in Dhokha (2007) and especially in Matrubhoomi: A Nation Without Women (2003).
This time around she will be appearing in a male-centric film in Superstar, as the plot will naturally revolve around Khemu’s character. Khemu has the double role of playing two protagonists, Kunal and Karan in the Rohit Jugraj directed film.
