Recently seen with Manoj Bajpai in choreographer Ganesh Acharya’s directorial debut Swami, the sweet and lovely actress Juhi Chawla is happy with the life she has at home and doesn’t crave to do more work in a filmy way.

After just refusing to appear in a comedy with Anant Mahadevan, she commented, “I don’t want to do roles that don’t enthuse me. I only want to do scripts that touch me. That’s why I accepted Onir’s Bas Ek Pal and Nikhil Advani’s Salaam-e-Ishq.”

Wanting to feature in films which allow her to essay “age appropriate” roles as a mother and/or wife, she says she was happy doing the cameo in Paheli with Shah Rukh Khan.” In My Brother Nikhil she was the narrator. Chawla will soon be appearing as a mom in Vivek Sharma’s Bhootnath.

Will she ever work with father figure and friend Aziz Mirza again?

“I’d like to work with him again after Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman and Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani,” says Chawla.

So how does the actress sum up what she’s doing right now? “I live in town and the film industry is another world. Career-wise I’m doing the kind of work I believe in.”
