Only a few days after his father’s near fatal aerial stunt, Rahul Bose was experiencing one of his own. The stunt crew of Samar Khan’s Shourya assured Bose that everything would be all right with his very first bungee jump, as the supposed experts had over 12,000 successful jumps under their belts. Nothing could go wrong … Right?
However, when Bose jumped from 500 feet in the air, he only completed a 1-foot descent before his harness became caught on the camera which was filming the shoot. If that weren’t enough for him, while dangling frozen in fear from that height, he was asked if he wanted to be let go or pulled back up.
Bose opted to be pulled to safety and refused to redo the stunt once his feet were on firm ground. He returned to Mumbai, where he then realized that had anything worse happened, his signed disclaimer would have released the company from any action taken against their negligence. Very scary indeed!
